Samer Khalife is DarkMatter Group’s Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Business Services. He leads all finance and corporate support functions including human capital, legal, corporate IT and procurement. Samer is a finance executive with over 20 years’ experience in technology and communications.
Samer has a strong track record of building successful, sustainable businesses leveraging his expertise in establishing finance functions, negotiating financing and raising debt, managing treasury operations, banking relationships and setting up joint ventures. He has extensive experience in corporate governance, strategy, HR management and operations.
Before joining DarkMatter Group, he was Head of Business Development and Head of Finance at Mubadala Development Company’s Aerospace and Engineering Services Unit. During this time, he was instrumental in establishing the UAE’s first satellite operator, Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat). He also led the development of the first wholesale data centre infrastructure in the UAE, Khazna Data Centres Limited.
Prior to joining Mubadala, Samer was Director of Finance at du during its launch phase, where part of his duties was directing du’s initial public offering. Before that, he was Manager of Audit and Assurance at KPMG in Abu Dhabi where he spent ten years with the firm handling a variety of auditing, financial and management advisory services.
Samer has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the UAE University and a Certified Public Accountant.
